Awaken Online Book 6: Armageddon
Yes, we get more of Rex at the front end of the book. Yay! Jason kind of lets the race against other players lapse while he wraps his head around what Finn planted in his mind. Meeting with George and Ryan over the break-in from the last book. Did I get that right? Did Jason actually say something Alex thought was a good thing for him? Looks like the more confident Jason gets, the more reasonable Alex becomes. Maybe AO is finally having an effect on the megalomaniac.
The god of happiness. Money, rewards for overcoming intense life defying challenges. The Gambler will tax the wisest man with his insane machinations. Lest not we forget that in Happy, Dominic turned down the avatar offer from the Gambler. He did not see the advantage of it.
Barrow: The great meeting. The avatars Fire, Water, Dark, Light meet with the goal to team up against The Gambler. Each makes an entrance as if premiere night in Hollywood. Much fun!
The heart of the book is an olympics event of the avatars against Death and Taxes. Dominic is seldomly in the picture but his extraordinary strength is ever-present. I'm seeing where Alfred might want to cap some of the attributes to limit damage to the game world.
Just as the avatars get the chance to win, chance rolls the dice!

Rex: Interred dead General of the Twilight Throne's army. Is not used in this book but has bigger parts later.
Morgan: High Necromancer and chairwoman of the dark arts college.
Jerry: Man with the floppy hat. Keeps suggesting new titles for the Sultan of Sin.
Grunt: Not fleshed out Tank for Jerry's sneakery
Onyx: Alfred's Black Cat avatar.
Pint: Imp. Comedy relief. Only relates to Riley.
The Hippie: Water God. Contrariness seems to be his affinity.
Antagonists:
Alex Lane - Alexion in AO. Meets Jason IRL in a Cerulean meeting.
Claire - Junior engineer for Cerulean Entertainment
Death & Taxes - Guild led by Smiles/Dominic.
George Lane - CEO Cerulean Entertainment,concerned about Alex's growing mental conditions.
Gloria - Joins the game as a fire mage. She's been here since book 4 but since I don't remember her involvement really, I'll update this note after listening to that book again.
Ryan Vance - Cerulean security chief.
Robert Graham - Senior engineer for Cerulean Entertainment. Spills popcorn during the Sea's Edge battle.
Sanscrit - Finn, Julia, Kyle. The fire city in the desert.
Protagonists:
Jason Rhodes - Our MC (main chr). Necromancer with over 1365 Willpower. Level 300+.
Alfred - The A.I. running Awaken Online. AKA Onyx the black cat.
Angie - Jason's Aunt on father's side
Frank - Jason's best buddy from school and a primary influencer on Jason's attitude. Werewolf.
Riley Rogers (Jones)- Fury. Still has not confirmed the IRL name within the covers of our books.
